“Why must this happen to me?”
“There’s no way out.”
“I’m a total failure.”
We’ve all heard these voices — sometimes from others, sometimes from within.
When challenges pile up. When work feels impossible.
When we lose sight of what can be changed.
But optimism isn’t about denying difficulty.
It’s about choosing how we see it.
Every setback gives us two options —
To close all the windows and sit in the dark.
Or to open one, and let a little light in.
That choice — to stay open — changes everything.
Optimism is more than positive thinking.
It’s a mindset that trains your brain to look for possibilities, not
problems.
To notice opportunities, not just obstacles.
And when you picture the positive, your mind starts finding it.
That’s when energy returns — yours, and the people around you.
So how do you start?
Try looking through these 3 Windows of Optimism:
🪟 Change Window
Ask yourself:
• Is this temporary?
• Which part of this situation can change soon?
When you see change as possible, hope takes root.
🤝 Support Window
Ask yourself:
• What’s still working?
• Who or what can I lean on for support?
You’re not alone — connection fuels resilience.
⚙️ Action Window
Ask yourself:
• What’s one small step I can take today?
Action breaks the spell of helplessness.
Even a tiny step restores direction.
These simple shifts don’t erase challenges — they reshape
how you meet them.
And that’s where growth begins.
Optimism doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.
It begins when you choose to open a window — even a crack — and let the
light in.

you open today?
